Preserving, Conserving, Restoring

About

Original Windows is a forward looking company that seeks to apply best practice and up-to-date standards. We achieve this by maintaining membership and accreditation of both the  Fenestration Self Assessment Scheme and the British Woodworking Federation. Original Windows has been registered with both bodies since 2004.

Meet the Team

All enquiries are taken by Simon Matthews, trained Building Surveyor and Project Manager. Simon carries out surveys without obligation and will prepare your written quotation. He is your first point of contact and remains part of your team throughout the work. He will assist you in exploring the full range of options available.

Gary Gibson has been a central part of the team for the last three years and played an important role in developing our specialism in timber sash windows back in 1998. He is a qualified carpenter and joiner and has over forty years experience in the building trade.

Our Clients

Our clients include homeowners, landlords, architects, surveyors and main contractors. We have assisted all in preserving heritage, conserving energy and restoring character to the built environment.

Fenestration Self Assessment Scheme

We are registered with the Fenestration Self Assessment Scheme (FENSA), an organisation that assesses the competence of its members to install replacement windows and doors in domestic properties. Our registration with FENSA ensures that we maintain the expertise to comply with current building regulations and also arrange for the issue of FENSA Certification on completion of our work.

British Woodworking Federation

We are members of the British Woodworking Federation (BWF), a trade association of companies who specialise in wood as a sustainable and environmentally friendly building material. Our membership of the BWF ensures that we have up-to-date source of technical expertise and access to best practice policy.
